A very sincere congrats. I took my little guy out last weekend (he's 5) and we had two does come in as well. We were on the ground, and they were within 10 yards before busting us - with the doe blowing and carrying-on. His eyes were as big as saucers - and will be a treasured memory for the rest of my life, for sure.

There is nothing better than having an opportunity to hunt with a child and having them experience a world of "firsts". It makes us all feel young again, remembering our first experiences afield.

Congrats on that deer. Great story about your step daughter. It sounds like she's been bitten by that hunting bug.
