Looking for new camo (waterproof and QUIET)

Post by BravoKilo »

Starting to get tired of my current camo setup -- it's less than a year old but I'm finding more and more things I dislike about it -- would work great for blind hunting, but all mine is from a stand. So... I'm looking for something that is waterproof, not too bulky and most importantly QUIET. Current setup is a bit on the bulky side, but worst thing is the noise it makes... drag anything across it and I swear deer can hear me a mile away.
All my hunting is in Michigan, so warmth is also a factor, but with proper layering underneath it isn't as much of a concern.

Any recommendations??

Look at the Gore-tex MT50 line at Cabelas. We use it and it preforms A+.

I got some Dickie's stuff water proof and reasonably quiet.
100 for the jacket and 70 for the pants
From TSC in Canada mind you but you may be able to find a supplier down your way

I went to an army surplus store and bought a gore Tex outfit. Excellent quality and price

I've heard Shadowwear is very quiet material but I don't know who sells it. I have the same noise camo clothing. Mine is made by Coleman. It's fine for duck hunting but too noisey and it picks up every bloody burr and seed in the bush.

Another one for the Gortex MT50 from Cabelas, I've been using it for quite a few years and it is great. Waterproof, Quiet, and tough as nails.

I'm quite happy with my Rocky Synergy camo coat and pants.
I find them to be very warm and quiet as well.
They are water proof but I have never been rained on while wearing it so can't back that claim up.
There are adequate pockets and vent zippers in the jacket.
