"Rare white deer sighting in Ontario"

Very cool, but I question the antlers (any input??) and why the guy only took two pictures, through a window, if this deer was in his sight for five minutes...

Has anyone here ever seen an all-white deer??

There used to be an albino doe out towards St. Thomas in our neck of the woods. That was a couple of years ago, and I do not know if she is still around.

Ok, I just did a quick web search, and found where this guy lives. He is on Springbank drive, and while he is surrounded by a wooded park, he is smack in the middle of the city. I do know for certain that the woods where he lives has whitetails in it, but as has been said, this is not a whitetail. Across the road from him is Springbank Park, another semi-wooded park following the gully of the Thames river. When I was little they had a petting farm there with fallow deer. Since the last time I was to the petting zoo - 20 yrs ago - they have gotten rid of the deer. Probably shipped them out. Could one escape and go renegade, living and hiding in the small city woodlots, and only now one of his children is seen in the light of day? Dont know, but I might have to go check it out.

I saw a white deer in the woods behind Morton Terminal in Lasalle while mountain biking the trails in there. At first I was unsure of what I saw so I asked at the local bike shop where we hung out and was told that indeed there was a white deer back there and that many other cyclists and hikers had seen it as well. That was about 6 or 7 years ago so I don't know if it's still around or not.

I agree with ya broadside, the antlers are unusual.

Definately not a whitetail deer. I spotted a white or albino deer one time just outside of Ayr. I'll look for the pic and put it up, but it was taken with a cheap camera and they were 300 to 500 yards away.

Just Googled Steelway and it's in Aylmer. I'm talking about Ayr, just southwest of Kitchener.

It was actually off Trussler Road near the 401.

I didn't have time to dig through the pictures last night....I look later and see if I can dig it up.
