Eight leggged deer cam pic

Post by tat4life »

hey everyone thought i would show you my first cam pics this year that i got this am...sorry they aint no monster bucks :( .....atleast i know my cam works now..lol...thought maybe it didnt work...anyway,I went out this evening while it was a fine fine drizzle at my stand around 4pm..by 545pm the rain had turned into a down pour and very cold,i was soaked from head to toe and fingers were starting to get numb,no sooner i was going to get out of the stand
miss doe shows up at 30yds in my crosshair, unfortunately i dint take the shot cause i didnt feel comfy at all,i wasnt steady enuf cuz of the numbness of my fingers, and not very big on tracking in the rain and also it would have been my 1st with my new Equinox and would have been more comfy at 20yrds for my 1st time (sorry 4 all the excuses...lmao)so i put my crossbow down and sat watching her eat for the next 15min so i wouldnt spook her b4 she went back in the hardwoods, felt like hours in that down poor tho buuuuuuur...it sure was a great supper topic 2nite with the wife..

I'd pass on a 30 yard shot in the rain, too.
I'm betting you'll get another chance. :)

Nothing wrong with passin on the shot.
Those aren't exscuses they are all very valid reasons not to take the shot!!
Good luck next time out. :)

It's all part of the hunt isn't it. To shoot or not to shoot. There's nothing worse than losing a deer once you've killed it, so you did the right thing. Karma my friend, Karma. They'll be back on a better day.
