Woodstock mounted . . .

I finally got 8-10 layers of varnish on the stock. That takes a while. I used the satin finish . . .I didn't really want the high gloss shine. The Spar Varnish didn't come in a flat finish or I'd probably have gotten it.

I think it came out great. My wife actually suggested hanging it on a wall. She is a city girl and doesn't like weapons in the house. Surprised me when she suggested to not only have it in the house, but, display it on a wall.

When mounting it. . .it fit like a glove . . .a glove that was made for it, not like O.J.'s glove.

Here is a picture of the broadhead on the underneath, with Aging's autograph . . .there's more to that , but, I'm blackmailing Aging to keep the story quite.





I love how balanced the bow is now . . .Aging cut the bottom of the grip to where it sits flat on the table when I put it down.



Here's how balanced it is . . .scares me to look at this . . .anyway . . .don't try this at home.



I highly suggest that anyone interested in getting a woodstock to contact Aging and have him cut one to your specs. He is amazing. He knows his wood.

Scott did a great job on the finish. It seems to work better if I send it raw and then if it has to be tweeked a little it easier. Now go shoot something Scotty! P.S. The date is corrected and I'm sticken to that story.

I just came in from shooting it for the first time. Took advantage of a break in the rain.

I'll have to let you shoot it when I come up for Thanksgiving. It's a totally different bow. Sounds so much better. I would not have predicted it. The sound of the arrow hitting the target seemed so much louder/clearer because there was so much less noise coming from the bow. I'm amazed.

The cheek piece is very nice. I dig my cheek into that thing and it's solid. There's a sweet spot in the cheek piece and it might take me 50 shots to get use to that.

I meant to weigh the two stocks and compare when I switched them. As I held them, one in each hand, I could not tell a difference. I even had the kids try and they couldn't decide either. I'm guessing they are within a few ounces of each other.

The solid walnut is actually lite.

I went ahead and switched the scopes out . . .put the lumizone on the Max.

I'm considering switching out the camo limbs for the brown limbs on the Vixen . . .what do you guys think?

That's one fine looking piece of firewood!

Just j/king. I could never have a stock that looks that good. I'd never take my bow/gun out if I did. I'd be so afraid of getting a scratch on it that I would probably miss seeing most of the deer in the woods!
