Deerhide brown phoenix/vortex?

hi!

i'm an archer from austria and interested in crossbows as well.
would like to buy a phoenix or vortex xbow, but I dont like the camo finish.
which colour is under the camo stock and limbs? deerhide brown like the vixenI?
if not, is it possible to buy a phoenix or vortex with deerhide brown coloured stock and limbs?

i bought a vortex this past summer and wanted a black color because all my hunting is done from ground blinds, but there was no color options, so after season is over i am sending mine back to the dealer to have it "dipped" in order to get the color that i desire....jeff

For some reason I think it is more of a white color, at least that is what I see when I wear mine down.
I would suggest looking for a bow you want based on it's shooting characteristics, then modify the color by means of dipping or staining.

David, you are correct. The raw stocks before camo are white. I know bstout and xbowkidd have both had success in dying stocks and limbs.
I too lament the end of the deerhide brown stocks and limbs. The world has gone camo crazy.

easy fix but not cheap. get a poop brown vixen and swap rails w/ phoenix owner.
