Grunting at the Bait Pile

Post by bigbuck »

I am wondering how many hunters call and rattle at the bait pile.
I feed apples and corn and it has been fairly slow this year, they mostly come at night.
Do I call or be patient.

Don't know how the rut is progressing in your area, but until the bucks are actually battling (not just sparring - around here they are just ticking antlers together and testing strength roght now) I'd pass on grunting and rattling.
A few doe bleats might get some interest, though.
