7 shots no deer read story lol it's quit bad

Me and my dad and his freand were out this morning and wen me and my dad were siting with the shot gun we got a call from his buddy he said got a doe and a fawn coming right behind you so we turned around and waited. Next thing we know we hear 3 blasts from my dads buddy he called I think I missed so we waited 2 min later we hear 3 more I missed a doe again waited bang he shot again he calls I missed a buck so we leave and go to the farm atached and went through this little Swale my dad took the gun from me I look down and I say these are fresh tracked and then my dad putts a slug in we start walking then I look up and I'm face to face with a doe bang my dad missis it at ten yards so I need to know what we should do this afternoon how do we hunt the afternoon ? Please help

Not trying to be harsh here or anything, but to be honest-if it was me, I would have made sure, before the season started, as two where my slugs were hitting with my gun. Then, once I found a combination that patterned well at shotgun ranges, I would practice, practice and then practice a little more.

A miss at ten yards? wow, thats gotta hurt. Sounds like some bad karma out there. I suggest a re-cleansing.

Instead of hunting, you, your Dad, and your buddy, should all be at the range trying figure out why you are missing. I am curious to know if it is operator error or the gun is off.

Haha me and my dads gun I's acurate up 2 120 yrds with a slug it's the budddys that needs to go to the rang lol

Didn't you say that your Dad missed one at 10 yards???

What slugs were you using?
What sights are on your guns?
If your guns are set at 120 yards then your dad may have shot over top of the deer at 10 yards.

He was using a scope and wen he missed we were walking through this realy tall grass and it jumped up and he shot with slugs and he was using a scope don't forget

I would have jumped so high I would have missed too, It can be hard with a scope at that yasrdage. All you see is brown and you have a precious few seconds to get a shot off. Better luck next time man.

Ya saw the same to deer my dad missed this morning they jumped out in front of me and the safty went of and got 2 shots off with buck shot I wounded it 2 we can't find it go out tonight and look again

Double barrel shotguns "CROSS" at a certian range.Each gun is different but they all cross.My buddy Used a double barrel turkey hunting until i video taped him shooting a turkey @ 30 yards [both barrels] and slowing down the video and showing him both"power pistons" passing right and left of the gobblers head. he missed lots of birds with that gun......he knows why now!!!!!
