I watched the video segment of this story on last friday nights newscast.
This moron is shooting a crossbow (looks like a Stryker) from his spam window into his back yard (which I've got no problem with). But...he was hunting over an illegal bait pile in his backyard. And just beyond that is a pond that people frequent. And just beyond that are more houses. There was also a rifle sitting next to the window too. This is in a community that doesn't allow hunting because of population levels.
Someone called the Troy police department. Police find a large amount of marijuana in his house. The guy has a license to sell medical mary jane but he had "substantially" larger amount on hand than was allowed by law. So he's arrested for that and ticketed by the DNR for hunting over an illegal bait pile.
Not to mention a dead deer that was found nearby. But couldn't be proved that he shot it (no witnesses).
I'm just waiting to hear of a few anti hunters go running with this story to the politicians at the state capital.
Then some wonder why it is sooooo hard to get crossbows allowed for hunting inclusion. GGGrrrrrrrr!!!
