Ibex puts a doe down!

Post by lvt01 »

Well after many, many hours in my stands the past 2 months I finally got the opportunity to put a deer down with my Ibex. Nice average sized doe for our area. I was beginning to think that it was never going to happen. I have to say I shed a tear after this one. Have no idea why...must be getting soft in my old age! Wish you all the best!

Congrats, that's a nice tasty lookin' Doe!
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. Gen 27:3-4

Congrats on a nice deer. :)
Don't worry about the tear thing, taking another creature's life is nothing to take lightly.

Thanks all! There sure has been a lot of tree sitting going on the past few weeks to finally put 1 down. First time hunting these steep hillsides on our place with the CB. I've always stuck to the tops and bottoms when I've hunted with it before. Its sure been a challenge as well as a learning experience to get the shot angles figured out. Now the real work starts!!!
