And another buck down

Post by longshot »

Dad wasn't having such a great day so we set up in a groundblind in the curve off an old road where dad has killed some bucks in the past. We could hear the hounds running hard right after daybreak and heard 2 shots. It was my cousin that is the same age as me. He called us on the radio and told us that a great bug buck was coming our way and that he had missed him. It wasn't long before we could hear a deer coming as the hounds got closer. It wasn't a big buck but a 4 pointer. Dad and I both shot at about the same time. When we cleaned him he was hit twice in the shoulder. Dad was really hrting so we were home by lunch. I have the meat cut off the bone and we are going to donate this deer for the needy. I have only one buck tag left and 6 weeks left to hunt unless dad tagged the buck with his tag. I'll have to check. Please pary for dad. He hasn't got out a bed at all today. I know that he overdid it yesterday. He has a handicapped permit that let's him shoot from the truck but people say mean things so we set up the groundblind even if it's just outside the truck. I don't have a picture of the buck but thenext one I shoot is going to be a big buck.

Don't worry about what others say, unless they know someone like that those guys will never get it. Wish your dad the best and congrats on the deer.
