Well I made one for the crossbow but it was kinda plain without the feet and such. I'll have to think of a way to fancy it up a bit. Here's a pic of it.

Yeah, I know the feeling. I had 2 recurves a compound plus the crossbow in the closet, it was time to make some room. hahaha. I like the broadhead design, looks like the 36th ID patch. I've been building alot of stuff out of Red Oak lately, just decided to use Pecan for the bow racks. I am planning on redesigning both. I have been coming up with some pretty good ideas the past few days.

All three racks look really nice to me. Just gave me an idea. Really scary, considering I have no talent with wood working.

Hey Terry,
I have some nice red oak stored on my wall in my workshop. I believe I have found a pattern for my next crossbow rack. Thank you.

Does anyone else have any Crossbow or Bow Rack ideas to share?

That's a really nice looking rack you made! Way to go!
What did you do to the deer feet to be able to use them?
Do you just bend 'em and let them dry or is there something further needed?

Nice rack you had made as well there Terry.

To make them ready to use after cutting them off I just tied them in position and hung them outside for about 2 months. I measured how long I wanted them and cut them on the miter saw. The insides are hollow but there is some oily stuff in there. I pushed as much out with a dowel rod as I could then drilled them to just over a 1/4 inch so that I could glue a dowel rod in them for extra support. The stars I made for extra support too. I marked the outline of the leg on them and drilled them out so they would fit tight around the legs. Im really interested in seeing what other people have made. Never hurts to get some fresh ideas for future projects!

You guys have made some really nice racks. I need to make myself one. I was showing my neighbor my crossbow Monday and he scolded me for having it hanging in the garage.

It would look good hanging in my office. :D

Thanks Sumner. Im kinda interested in how you made that stock. Been thinking about trying that myself. Did you dissassemble yours to get the measurements? And did you route it out for the rail and trigger assembly?

I have my crossbow hanging in the garage as well. Unfortunately the western look doesn't really match in our house from what I'm told???? Anyway, if you make a rack be sure to post some pics.
