Greetings to everyone in this forum!

After long reading time, finally I decide register here :) Shortly about me, I own Exocet 200 for about 3 years along with some other crossbows and really enjoy crossbows and everything related, like shooting, making accessories and experiment with them.

okdeerslayer: After bunch of crossbow and other scopes got ruined from recoil and what is really disturbing after I try different types of arrows, each time I must remember POI on crosshair for each distance, and in shooting range I really like shoot long range, I decide stick to something where I can move crosshair to adjust at each distance manually.

As I am able get several Soviet made scopes from Mosin rifle (3,5 x 22) with smoothly, without clicks moving crosshair and "fat" German #1 reticule, after modify mounts I try to experiment with them and was more then satisfied with results! Now I can simply adjust elevation for each distance and save my time guessing like "1/4 in top of five line hits 50 meters" - where I point my aim, there I hit.

I see that Parker Crossbows have similar concept "RED HOT Pin Point Scope" but with price of 300$ + shipping I better make some extra dozens of arrows for me and get set of HHA Optimizer Lite Speed Dial (anyone use this?) and use any scope I want which can be mounted on Weaver rail.

The shotgun scope should work fine, but I personally wouldn't put an airgun scope on a crossbow.

One reason most crossbow scopes do not transmit light as well as some scopes meant for firearms is that most crossbow scopes have only a 32 mm objective lens. I believe the Excalibur Lumi Zone has a 40 mm objective lens. You'll notice right away the difference between a scope with a 32 mm lens and one with a 40 mm lens.
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. Gen 27:3-4

I sight in for 25 yards. The arrow has a +/- 3" trajectory out to 30 yards. Any deer within that 30 yards is dead with a "center of the kill zone" hold. No need to worry about which reticle to use, or where to hold, just center the crosshair behind the front leg and squeeze the trigger.

I can also adjust the power and use the duplex "posts" for aiming if I want to.
When set at 2.5X the "posts" are good for 15 & 35 yards.

i use nikon shot gun 1-1/2 -4-1/2 works great. older scope been on 45/70s muzz loaders.shot guns never a problem .and has been on my crossbow more than the crossbow scopes due to scope failyer.like it much better than all aiming dots because have used wrong dot more than once never again.parallax set for 75yds on mine. no problem if you keep view centered like when bore siteing.
