I love excaliburs part numbers 8)

I dont think they have set a date, other then to say that it will be in the new year. I think it will be in the next month or two, but i have been wrong before.

Will the new STS help prevent damage in the case of a dry fire?

If you did accidently dry-fire the bow, the limbs would have a better chance to survive with them installed. I’m sure the rubber bumpers would not make it due to them absorbing all that energy. But it would be way cheaper to replace the bumpers then new limbs.

I am ready for the S5 string stop. I definatly won't be adding anymore Limbsavers. They won't stay on my Vortex. Its a shame becase they did work and they resulted in no bolt drop at 30 yards. But boy when they come off, you need safty goggles on. I also wrote in on the forum that if you fire your crossbow with only one attached the shot will be way off to one side.

Try putting them close to the riser.
Vortex, Phoenix, single-shot rifles and handguns.

I found limbsavers on my vortex resulted in a heap of lost speed and arrow drop over 30 yards and no less noise or vibration :?

Cossack, i thought they were meant to be placed as far away from the riser as you could get them, not as close to?

Limbsaver sent me more free replacements. I shot the bow at 30 yds. and nailed the bulleye. Put the limbsavers on all the way out near the end of the limbs. Shot the bullseye again. Vortex with Dynaflight Flemish string. I don't know why I have different results but this is the second time I have perfromed this test.

I Like the S5 system for my Ibex but I have a ground pounder mount that mounts in the same holes I guess I have some machine work ahead me to make everything mesh or maybe I'll give grounpounder a call and see if he can make new posts that will work with the system because a machinist i am not  .

God Bless

They are meant to be put out on the limbs on verts but that resulted in more than 10fps reduction in speed in my Equinox. And they constantly shot off. Putting them close to the riser results in no loss of speed, some vibration reduction and they stay on.
