4th Ontario coyote down :)

Post by fratri »

I got early this morning and thought I try a quick morning hunt. With luck on my side lately, I figured I had nothing to lose. I went to a farm about 30 mins away arrived just before first light. To much snow at the farm so had to park on the road and walk the 1km to the setup. Got set up and started calling on and off with an adult dying rabbit sound for 10 mins. I then turned on the crow/rabbit fighting MP3 file I downloaded and within 5 mins this female shows up. She cought my movement, looking straight at me I let the 55 gr hornady SP bullet fly from 80yds away and hit her square in the centre of her chest. She spun around and ran about 7 yds before fell over. After dragging out that coyote from yesterday I decided to skin it right there. I brought some rope and hung her on a tree branch and within 30 mins I was walking back to the truck. Enjoy the pics
