It's here

Post by chack182 »

Well I finally got my Exocet 200 in and all I can say is SWEEEEET!! I only was able to shoot it a few times so because of the weather, but man does this thing shoot. I put the scope on and did not have to adjust anything so for. 1" high at 10 & 20 yards with 100 gr. field points (same hole). Man you can not aim at the same dot with this thing! My question is on broadheads, which would be the best head for this bow? I have some rage 2 blades that I got as a xmas gift, but not sure if they will work for this high powered machine. Can the rage be shot out of my new bow and if not which fixed head works better with the Exocet. I would like to get the right broadhead fast because I still have until Feb. 16th to hunt deer and it would be nice to harvest one before the season is over.

I shot the rage 2 blades once. As for flight they where fine. As for opening and making a kill, well i will never use a mechnical again.

Congrats on the new bow. Its a pretty quick lesson to not aim at the same spot.

Rage 2's shot great out of my Exocet, they should work just fine. Exact same POI as my field tips also.

Did they open before they hit the target? Just thinking 200 # is a lot of shock on take off. Should I put rubber bans on them?

A lot of guys here shoot the Rage Broadheads with no issues. Just make sure the O-ring is seated properly when you load it.

Congrats on a great bow and good luck.

Congrtas on yer new xbow, they are indeed a thing of beauty!
I use the Rage 2 blades in my Vortex and am also very pleased with them.

just bought the vortex, dave at wyvern told me to use slick tricks 1" 100 grains. fly exactly the same as field points. told me the trouble with mechanical is they will open with one band on them. should use two. Just getting into bow hunting so hoping dave knows his stuff. from what i heard he does.
