Re: O/T snow blower education needed
Got a quad (450 Polaris) with a 50"" blade, it does wonders. But the 30 yr old 7.5 hp Toro comes out when the snow gets really deep or when removal of snow that was scraped off the roofs becomes necessary. It's been a great machine. Been thinking about replacing the Toro but the new ones have PLASTIC chutes. I have a gravel driveway 75 yards long. Judging from the dings in the current one it wouldn't last the season.

I live on the outside edge of a small town in Sask. I get killed when the wind is from the south east. We have a picture of the wife with her elbow on the eves trough standing on a drift. Ariens or John deere all the way. It must at least have a steel chute.

Iv'e had a Honda for about 24years. I have been doing most of the neighbours drives as well as my own most of this time.
I rebuilt it a couple of years ago and repainted it. Looks like new again. Starts first time, even first time of the season.
With the tracks on them, if you keep the auger going you can bury it in a drift and still keep going.
Or it will climb a snow bank, just like a tank.

Since you are a Dodge fan I will show you what I use.
It works well I do my driveway in about 3 minutes.
All kidding aside , you really should get a blade for your ATV. You have a long stretch there to do with a snow blower. IMO
Good luck either way Bud. Good hearing from you again.

Hoss, I have a friend in Parry Sound (north country) he has an Atv not sure brand or cc(i think 600+). He had a local shop weld him up a blower on a frame that attaches to the atv and has engine on front driving the blower. He had a little tweeking to do but now works well and he also does people in the area. I will get some pics for you and try posting it.

Re: O/T snow blower education needed
During the "snow storm" of Wednesday last week my 48 year old Ariens (handed down from grandparents to parents to me) decided it wanted to go to snow blower heaven. As luck may have it, I was fortunate to be given a Toro CCR-2000 Sunday. This machine sat for 5 years prior to it coming to me and started after 2 pulls. Unfortunately I didn't receive this until after the unexpected snow from Saturday.Riflemanz wrote:I have the Toro CCR-2000 single stage which i bought in 1989.It still starts on the first or second pull. You mix oil and gas for this model 40-1 mix.It clears snow very good! If the thrill of the hunt is lost, then I have lost.

Re: O/T snow blower education needed
I have a mastercraft brand. 12 years old, used it alot over that time and all I ever had to do is change 1 cable. Never lets me down. The past 2 years, my worker shovels laneway by hand. He gets paid and it takes the wear and tear off my snow blower for when I need it. LOL Keeps my workers in shape.
