I picked up a Stoney Point monopod and a rapid pivot monopod attachment mount. As much as I like shooting off of a monopod I find that often the yoke will slide forward on the crossbow and if a deer comes in from an unexpected direction it can be difficult to shift position so I thought that I would pick up their rapid pivot mount which is a quick release that is attached to the forward sling stud and forms the attachment point to attach the monopod to the crossbow much like Tenpoints Steady Eddy.
The problem is that the mount doesn't quite clear the forward riser bolt. I can probably just trim it a little to tuck it in there but I thought that I would see if any of you use this system and what you did to make it fit properly.
Both the monopod and rapid pivot mount are well made and I like the fact that the monopod can double as a walking stick.
Thanks,
Bob
