New Axiom Owner

Post by ducksdemise »

I just purchased the new Axiom Kit. I really like the bow and scope set up.9 I bought the cheek piece also. Set the bow up in about 10 minutes Went to the range right out of the box this bow was shooting bullseyes at 10 & 20yds. The only thing I need to work on is the sound level of the bow it is loud. What works to quite this bow down. I see they have a new suppressing system available. Pros cons any info will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

Congratulations on your new bow

the s5 will help and protect in the event of a dry fire.

The noise will never go away, what ever you are hunting
it's the last thing they will hear

Welcome to the forum!!! :D
Congrats on your bow!!
There is not a lot you can do to quite it down...x-bows are noisy, just the way it is. The sts will help...quieted down mine some, you may want to think about a set of disapater bars, but that's up to debate weather they work. Some take their's off.
Trust me...when the critter's here it it's usually to late!!!

Are you using the Dacron endless loop string that came with the bow?

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new bow.
The S5 string stoppers will quiet it a tad but it will still be loud.
Don't worry too much about the noise level of the bow, you'll get used to it.
The deer don't mind the noise nearly as much as they do the arrow passing throuh them!! :)

Welcome and congrats you just bought the best.

Get the S5 string stoppers saves wear on the string will quiet it down some. But these are loud you will have to learn to live with it.
As for the D bars I took mine off and they will not be going back on as I run the S5's and they will do more than the D bars will.

The axiom is the Phoenix minus the Dbars and a different camo try a heavier arrow that will slow it down some but will help with the noise a bit.

Congrats!!! Nice Choice on bow. I agree, the S5 will help with dry fire protection,
as well a little vibration noise suppression, but the heavier arrow will top it off.
Have Fun!!!

Welcome to the forum! Good choice of xbow. Word of advice, take everything these (teachers) tell you and lock them inside. Boo, does the type of string make a difference in the noise level. See I'm still learning!
