red dot scope

can you use a regular red dot scope (shotgun or rifle type) on a crossbow?

Yes but your giving up magnification and having multiple aim points. Personally, I prefer both for more precise shooting.
Vortex, Phoenix, single-shot rifles and handguns.
Incurable tinkerer.
Why hunt? Simple, it's BASIC. Why breath?!

Yes I have one on my 165 Exocet and have had excellent results as in all hunting you must know your yardage oh ya don't forget an xtra battery just in case you go to turn the scope on and it already is :shock:

Yes you can.
I tend to think it's evil, as all battery-operated items it's prone to a power failure when you need it the most.
And it's better to have a magnifying scope on a crossbow, it's more useful.

You can get crossbow specific ones Tru Glo and Tenpoint make them that I know of

They have three aim points in them
