I found her nest after looking in what I thought were hiding places, it's in a old hog pen which just look in and there are the eggs, a critter would have to climb or jump over the sides to get to her. I'm going to keep the cam on this nest until they hatch and leave, do a weekly show and tell. also got a fox den I got to get on soon.

Do they normally nest indoors like that?

Cool picture I have a ten foot high broken oak tree that is hollow on one of the properties I hunt turkey on and just so happens was my sitting tree I call vulture corner cause you guessed it every year one nest in it!
Now I have moved down the fence line after we scared the S@#T out of each other one morning when I was setting up

Keep us posted on her progress

I know where a bald eagle has nested in the second story room of an abandoned farmhouse out my way. Has her nest on the floor and flies in and out through the smashed window. I guess if they feel their safe they will venture indoors.

Wow, you're lucky ! It's not common to have a vulture nesting in such a place.

wish they would let us shoot the things but we cant touch them. The black head ones do a number on cattle and calving!!!! They will sit on the back of the cow and wait for the calf to come out. Nasty things

Roly this is my first indoors, so I really don't know? Did find one as a kid like Madmax found in a big hollow tree stump about 8ft tall, think how it scared me a skinny 9yr old, ran home crying saying a buzzard was trying to carry me away. Thanks for looking

One of my neighbors has an old barn that has Turkey vultures nesting in it every year. He took pics every couple of days a few years ago and put together a start to finish album. Nasty critters but very necessary to clean up all the dead stuff in the environment. I've never heard of Turkey vultures bothering cows that were calving. That must be a trait of the Black vultures you have out there. Gary
