Beatiful day in the woods.

This is a pic of my decoy from my blind .just wanted to see how good the pic is ..i took it with my phone.
also added a pic or two of my blind from the decoys view..
I think i like it so far ..its a HS backpacker..
Still no turkey .im working on it :D but i did get to help a friend clean one today :D 22 pounds 11 inch beard he was happy.

How's the turkey huntin there my friend?
Birds have shut down here...gobble on the roost, fly down then NOTHING!!!!!!

I think its getting better ..i had one gobble this morn on the roost ..wayyy off.. then the owls started hooting and screamin up a storm .shut him up..
I had a turkey above me and one below me around 9 cuttin and cluckin for about 45 mins..i bet the one above me clucked 1000 times..no exageration .i counted 100 and it kept goin and goin and goin..i shut up figgering it knew where i was .. it never came . i think i twas 2 hens and i was in the crossfire..never had that happen before..

Nice pictures strum. Theres just something so soothing about being in the woods, looking over a decoy or two. Even if its just a picture. Looks like a nice spot, good luck man.

I've never hunted turkeys and don't know much about them. Not too many in my immediate area. What's with the owls screaming at the turkey? Do owls prey on turkeys?

not sure if they were screaming at the turkey or each other..but they were loud,,i think they do prey on the young ones ..and mabe a brave one will go for an adult somtimes..i asked a more experianced person who said the turkey do not like the owls at all.
