Possible rear peep sight replacement

Post by shafferm »

I have been shooting a Hindsight style sight on my vertical bow for the past few years and was thinking that it might be able to be adapted to be used to replace the rear peep. My thought was to buy just the standard 1.5" Rear Aperture and then trim it down to fit into a single 30mm diameter weaver style scope ring. You could then mount this onto the front of the rail that the scope would normally mount onto.

Here are the links

Cost for the rear sight is around $18

Just a thought for you guys that are not allowed to use magnifying optics.

Shaffern, It should work .I mounted a 1'' pc. of black delrin with a hole in it to the bottom half of a weaver mount .It goes on and off the rail with out losing zero.

Looks interesting I like that you can see the animal better than the standard peep.
