Hello from the new guy
Hi everybody, after A LOT of research I've decided on the Excalibur crossbow. Now for my question. I'm 6'2" tall and I've heard that the Exomax might be a better fit for me than the Equinox, because of the longer length.
I'm going to go with one or the other, but I thought I would ask the "experts". Any help would be great...Thanks, Mike

Welcome!
It's a personal choice between those two. Both are excellent bows. There is no bad choice there either.

I'd rather wear out than rust out.

Thanks, I forgot to mention that there is nowhere within 100 miles of me to try one out.

Re: Hello from the new guy
Without trying one out . . .pistol grip vs. traditional grip . . .that's the big difference. I thought the traditional grip was more comfortable, especially getting to the safety. I like to keep my thumb on the safety . . .just a habit thing and I never did do much pistol shooting.
If you do a lot of pistol shooting, then you will probably like the pistol grip best.
Either way . . .those bows are great bows. Just a matter of shooting it and loving it.

Welcome to the forum!!!
You won't go wrong no matter which one you get...just remember don't shoot at the same place twice, arrows get expensive!!!!

Welcome to the forum bentonmike.
Both bows are awesome and either one would do you just fine!!

Welcome to the forum
I love my Equinox , the extender makes it just right for me.
although I have never got used to reaching for the safety, I would not part with it
You will be happy with either bow for sure

Check w/ Danny Miller, our USA warranty rep in Sardis, Oh [740]483-2312. He often has deals on trade ups or downs. He's also cheapest on strings since he makes them all there for Excal.
Had or shot them all, my favorite is the Exocet. Welcome to the forum.

I have an E-max,love it!! But just buy both, then you'll have a spare to loan all your buddy's after they shoot yours! you will likely soon be a group anyway. Good luck and have fun.
Re: Hello from the new guy
Welcome, not sure how many newguy's we have room for though , I've had pretty much all the models and really liked the Equinox however i have stumpy arms so you may need the extender.
