Post by muskyman454 »

if you leave the rope cocking aid attached to to the string in the ready position will it have an affect on the limbs? i am old school recurve hunter and you dont leave them strung because of weakening the limbs and warpage? i keep my bow in ac unless i am hunting and it gets hot any input would be helpfull thanks

My rope cocker stays on the string year round. That way it doesn't get lost.

Same here. I store my bow with the cocking rope on it ready to go. :)

I have my rope shortened up quite a bit

I have to pull the string back 3 or 4 inches to get the hooks on

Is it ok to leave the rope cocker on with it pulled back that much

I do mine like that mostly when i am hunting so i don't forget the rope cocker. No it doesn't hurt it but ck on string brace in case it creeps on you.
