Gopro hero hd is the way to go hands down. They are made for extreme sporting and hunting while still producing top quality video and pics.

You can mount the camera anywhere on everything you want you can also wear it on your head (head strap) or stick one of the base plates on something(like under the crossbow rail). Massive versitility and dependability.

You can make it even easier by swapping the current quiver bolt with one that is threaded on both ends. When not using the camera it you could screw a ball or nut to make loosening the quiver easier. This would also allow you to almost any small camera with your bow! Just make sure it can handle the environment you are placing the camera into (i.e. can it get wet, cold, muddy). You may have to add some vibration dampeners if the video shakes to much when shooting.

Why add a bunch of dead weight?

Check out the gopro website.

www.gopro.com

Watch their videos. Yours will be just as good.
A buddy took some video on his boat.......in the landing net............under water as the fish was reeled in.

The gopro will be on my crossbow next season.

It is on my wish list for Christmas.
Almost bought one in Vegas in a moment of weakness (tequila), decided to wait till I got home so I can get it at a closer retailer.
The local ski hill hill says almost everyone has one there. I don't ski but I do all kinds of other dumb stuff that would wreck any other camera.
I think it would be fun to do some wing shooting with it under the barrel of a gun.
