I purchased a set of STS last year for my exocet 200 until the S5 was released. I noticed that several etailers advertise the Excalibur S5 STS as if they are the same. I know there is a difference by looking at the pictures but I wonder what I would get by ordering a unit that is described as above. Anyone else notice this? Also, is there a benefit in having the S5 over the STS and what, if any, is it?
I purchased the STS last November but never really used them due to shoulder surgery. Still don't mind purchasing the S5 anyway as long as there is some benefit over the STS.

S5 vs STS
Re: S5 vs STS
They both will accomplish the same thing but the S5 is a bolt on and adjust your brace height and your good to go.
STS will need to be adjusted by cutting the rod down and possibly the rubber stoppers as well.
In Canada the STS are $40 more in price than the S5 I went with the S5 myself.
There was an excellent version made by a member on this forum NGSS (he no longer makes them) they were similar looking to the STS but adjustable without cutting if you can find a used set of those for sale that would be another option.
hope this helps
