Post by strum »

its been ..what 3-4 months now since the S5 craze :D
seems like they were talked about a lot but i dont here much now ..Im just curious to know after some time with em what are yalls thoughts,,Likes, dislikes, tweaks, wear issues..
I tried running with out mine and with out Dbars..put the S5s back on..ditched the Dbars..
probly have 500 shots on them and they are looking pretty rough..i will for sure need some new pads soon..

So far mine are holding up pretty good (around 300 shots)!!
I just keep forgetting to twist them about every 50-75 shots to keep the string from wearing on the same spot!!

I only have about 60-70 shots on mine so not much of a longevity test but so far they show no signs of wear.

So far so good...the material does seem to be a bit on the soft side. I've been trying to keep them turned every 25 shots or so to make them wear even. I guess thats why they sell replacements. 8)

I keep my string off the bumpers at least a 1/16'', if not it whacks them pretty hard, just the way I set mine up and they're over 2yrs old. Mine is the old style sts don't see why it wouldn't work with the s5s?
