Rare wood beauty

Post by DaGriz »

I was able to get some Massacar Ebony. It's a rare highly figure wood from far east. Extremely hard, to the point that the blade on my band saw was smoking as I cut it.
I used some to put the handle scales on a kick-ass Damascus blade

Here's the results. Picture doesn't do it justice as I'm a lousy photographer.

Good looking knife Griz!
My eyes are crap but it appears to have some detail on the pins that hold the handle scales on?
Very nice indeed!

Thanks guys

The Pins of Mosaic. There are small brass rods inside a larger brass tube with a black micarta star in the center. Very nice accent to the scales. This one is a real beauty when you hold it. Fits the hand very comfortablely, kick-ass Damascus which accents the handle scales.

It will make somebody a real proud owner!
