Thermacell

Post by Onetimeonly x--> »

Two years ago here in Michigan the Mosquitoes were
terrible for bow season. Last year they weren't bad,
had a couple early frosts. I bought one last year prior
to the Oct. bow season never used it. My question is
how well do they work?

It works good.I also bought the bug tamer bowhunters jacket with black mesh face hood.A deer can walk right up to me on the ground and not see me with that hood up.

Thanks guys that's good to here. I'm hoping
we get some good frosts before the season.
I know the Bats love them, I'm not a big fan.
The Mosquitoes that is.

Luv mine! A few years back i stopped at a k-mart and they had 12 of them on clearance in their garden center. They were all marked $5.00 each, needless to say they all went home with me. I gave most of them out as xmas gifts that year, and everyone that recieved one....swear by them.

I purchased one for camping last week and they work great :D

Only problem that I had was I used my teeth to tear the wrapper open on the scent pad and could not get the taste out of my mouth for an hour!

I live in Oklahoma and I go froging at night in the summer a lot. Normally and I don’t know why but the mosquitoes usually don’t like my flavor of blood I guess to much alcohol or something: lol: BUT there is times when they will be interested. I take a thermo cell unit with me incase its one of those evenings. I have it hanging on a string I just run thru a belt loop and let it hang on me. It will absolutely run them dam things off the second it starts smoking. Me and my wife set outside on the deck in the hot tub as well in the evenings and again sometimes the mosquitoes are bad. We turn on the thermacell and they leave. The absolutely best mosquito repellent ever made.

I bought mine last year and didn't have a lot of cash but believe me it was the best rig I ever bought. I will never be without one again, I had one of those bug lights and it worked for the moths at night but that was it. I live in mosquito breeding area, we can now sit out on our deck and enjoy the evening or any time of day rather than looking at our deck through a window. And when I go in the woods hunting, not one mosquito bite or fly bite. That should tell you how good they are.
