Wrist Band for Arthritist, Cocking Bow

Post by Migabby »

I had an Idea the other night! Some times my arthritist is so bad that cocking my bow, is a painfull problem with my hand cocker or even with my Crank-A-ROOOOOO. The Pain is awfull. Then I remembered the Wrist straps I had for my Releases from my Verticle Bow Days. What if you make Leather Loops to go around your wrists, so the stress is off your hands and fingers and now on your arms and wrists.

Has anybody else done this or tried. I would be interested in your thoughts. It could help a bounch of us ole geezers who have this problem. I'm going to call Danny Miller and see if he has come up with anything. If not I think I will experiment with a few designs, I still have some Deer hide left from the past.

I have a Barnett rope cocker that came with nylon loops instead of "T" handles.

Got mine at WalMart a few years back for less than $15.
Can't vouch for this seller, but if you copy & paste the link it will show you what I'm talking about.

Horton for years used the WRIST strap for cocking a crossbow.I just sold mine or i would send them to you to try.in my opinion they should work better that t handle as your wrist is pulling the rope not your hands..
