Waiting is driving me nuts

Post by kd8jgu »

Here archery season opens 24 Sep.
First yr with excaliber.
Sighted shooting everday.
Have shot a few ground hog the bolt cutter is amazing.
So what is everyone doing to calm theit nerves until season opens?
May my aim be true and my arrow fly straight

I think everyone is going to Booville except me.

I'm trying to get myself in better shape. At least good enough to drag a deer a few hundred yards. Don't want to have a heart attack dragging a deer.

I still have a lot of shooting to do. I'm way behind the times.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.
Perception trumps intention.

Baiting is legal in the southern zone this year...doesn't do me any good though. I hunt on a military base and the fed boy's won't let you bring a kernal of corn onto the post. Really doesn't bother me on the deer...but if i could put some corn out for them hogs...

Yes and no, they actually have it managed a little better. They have a pretty good size QDM Area. as well as biologists controlling hunting density ion the different areas has helped quite a bit. <--- that's the yes part

The no part is - They are still NC deer.
