The string that comes with the bow is made from Dacron which has a high amount of elasticity which makes it forgiving on the Dreaded Dry-Fire! High performance strings are much less forgiving. That been said when a person is new to the bow there is a very good chance of dry-firing the bow, ruining your limbs as well as your underwear.
