Is there any difference between the Carbon Express Maxima Hunter KV & Maxima Hunter? I just purchased an Equinox with extra Firebolts. They seem to shoot fine with 100gr and 150gr field points. I purchased but have not tried the 150gr Boltcutter or 100gr X-Act BHs. I sent an email to Boo and he said he was using the Carbon Express Maxima Hunters (I don't know if they are the KV or other). I wanted to know if there are difference between the 2 bolts and if it is better for me to buy some of each and see for myself.
A little background, I started bow hunting in 1972 with a Bear Kodiak. Over the years I migrated to a compound bow. This year as I started practicing for bow season I discovered that a left shoulder injury made it impossible to smoothly draw and hold the compound for hunting. Well you can’t keep an old fart down so I purchased what I believe is the best bow on the market an Excalibur Equinox. I made it full circle to a recurve at 62.
Now I am hooked! Can't understand why I did not get a crossbow years ago. Perhaps I was surrounded by bad longbow company (joke).
I have spent the last week glued to the Excalibur forum and have one comment. This is the most courteous and most informative forum I have been on. Between photography, target shooting, and reloading I have been on a ton of forums.

Re: Difference Carbon Express Maxima Hunter KV & Maxima Hun
The arrows that Excalibur sells are C2 Carbon made by Easton. They are good tough arrows. The Carbon Express Maxima Hunters (not Kvs) are probably twice the price. I started using them because they are far more tough than Gold Tips and have a built in weight forward construction. Considering what speeds we do with out Excaliburs I think that you do not need the Kvs. I used the Kvs on my 165 Scorpyd.

We'll be looking forward to your pictures.
The arrows you have are great arrows.
