Still in Shock

Post by theoldarcher »

It never ceases to amaze me at the generosity of the members of the Excalibur Forum. I posted a question about a week or so ago about the difference in the two Flemish strings that Excalibur has on the market. In response to that question Scott offered to send me a Flemish string for nothing. Today it arrived and to my shock it wasn’t an Excalibur Flemish String. It was a Boo String. The string is used, but it looks as if it just came off the show room floor. I have deliberated for the past couple of years about ordering a Boo String but just haven’t been in the monetary shape to do so. Scott you have definitely earned a space in my heart. Some of the new guys may not have seen this kind of generosity before on here but I have come to see that it happens behind the scenes of this forum more than most would know. I am proud to be a member of this forum and proud of the members who go out of their way to show others what it means not to be just good people but great people.

God bless and thanks Scott..

I sent you a pm saying that if you send me your address, then I would send you "one of the best strings on the planet". Of course, it's a Boo string. :)

You are certainly welcomed. I hope it serves you well. The string has some history. It's one of the first strings, if not the first, that Boo sent me to test for him. I just looked back at my data to see if I have record of how many shots the string has endured, but, I do not. I think it's less than 300. I reserved the string and it hasn't been shot 20 times since then. It's just broken in good.

You are right about this type of thing happening a lot on this forum. I'm just trying to pay forward a little. I could give away something every day for a year and still be in debt to this forum.

It neither surprises nor shocks me. It's a known fact that a lot of folks on this forum are a caring and generous bunch. I could mention several names, but I feel there's no need, as I wouldn't be telling you anything you don't already know.
