String Question

Post by kurisu »

Will the string that comes stock with a magtip limb bow be safe to use on a carved tip limb model. The reason I ask is that I always use the Flemish string on my bow and have since I bought it and my friend with a carved tip limb model needs a new string. It's no use to me now, so I'll give it to him if it won't damage his bow.

Regards,

I don't have a carved tip model. But I believe that the string loop is smaller on a carved tip, meaning that your super flemish string loop may be too big for his limb tip and come off when fired.
Your mate will need to get a carved tip model string with the smaller loops. Hopefully someone will correct me here if I'm wrong about this.

A string for a forward riser bow will be a bit too short for a flat riser bow.
