Great Hunt Tonight!

Post by GooGoos »

Well tonight dad && I got set up in a new spot he found. Very pretty && open lots of sign where deer and hogs been in there. As soon as we get settled dad pulls out his camera and takes a shot of me.

Well not too long later, I look out in the distance and see something gray move and right behind it something black. Couldn't tell what it was, till it got to about 30yds and this is what we see...

As it got closer too dark, dad whisper yells to me "Sabrina Hogs! Theres a big un with em way out!" So I get up && turn around and get to facing where these hogs should come out at. I see em step out. There is about 7 hogs. 3 of em were shooters. 175lbs, 140lbs, 110lbs && the rest were little 10lb pigs.

They finally come in, well all the little ones did to say the least. One of em even came right under my stand!!! They fed off, the big hogs never came in close enough for a bow shot. They stayed out at about 50yds. Owell. I still had a great hunt tonight with dad!

Thanks for sharing, sounds like an awesome hunt. Some of the best hunts and memories come from those hunts that you don't harvest your animal. There is no greater reward than spending the time you two do together out there.
Good luck, i'm sure it will happen soon enuf.

Nice video I hope we get to see your first kill with the Axiom on video that would be great.
You do not need a kill for a good hunt it is about a lot more than that.

GooGoo, you are a blessing to this forum. It is good to see the future of crossbow hunting amongst us more, shall we say, well-seasoned folks like me. I have not smiled in perhaps 35 years, but watching your videos brought one to my face.

Awsome ! ... Congrat's ! ... another good example of " You don't have to kill something to have a good hunt " !
