Another Great Hunt With Dad!

Post by GooGoos »

Well as you all know, Sunday night was a close call for my first bow kill. Last night was probably even better. I'll let the videos show you why....

If you couldn't tell by readin the title, I did infact miss him :( Thats why its called hunting and not killing. It was a great learning experince for sure.

Not even 5 min later...

They never came in close, they stayed out at about 80yds. Bow huntin is some tough huntin. I love the challenge of it! Gunna try it again tonight. It's on now! Pigs - 2 Sabrina - 0 Thats gotta change lol

Good luck, some of my most memorable hunts didnt involve actually shooting a deer. Hunting is not just the killing, its the whole experience. One of my best was a day during the rut I called in 3 different bucks with a grunt call at the same time & never got a shot at any of them but it was exciting to be able to call in 3 bucks at the same time. Another time I had nice buck out at about 80yds & I just tooted the grunt call once & he came running right at me,that one I shot at but the arrow hit a limb & went over his back. But they were exciting hunts. Its great you can share the experience with your dad, good luck.

The first one (of any species) is always hard to kill, but that just makes it more memorable when you finally succeed. Keep at it and you'll get one soon.
