forgive me - I have sinned

Post by wabi »

Deer season opened Saturday and I put one in the freezer, so with the freezer well stocked, today's wet weather, and the lack of activity at the feeder the past couple nights I decided to go fishing instead of deer hunting this evening.

Didn't catch anything big, but I managed to stay busy hauling in bluegill on the 3wt (ultralight) fly rod. :D

I'll get back to deer hunting tomorrow.

No sin in flyfishing! It's all about the outdoors no matter what your pursuit. :D I'm just as happy to be chasing grouse with my shotgun as I am to sit in a tree stand with my crossbow. :D

Able to shoot only ONE here-with all implements! Retired, like to hunt LOTS. Have taken up 'virtual kills.' Paint 'em with Lumizone reticule, touch the trigger, whisper "you're dead." Got 3 VKs so far, 2 bucks, one at 2 yards one at 8. :D

PS I call it hunting, my wife calls it "deer watching."

You could shoot them with a paint ball gun. That would be different. :D

I would say if you've only been flyfishing once since season started then that in itself is a sin
Just sayin
Why ride when you can walk!
