aluminum bolts
i have a bunch of easton xx78 super slam arrows size 2314 that i used in my compound bow and was wondering if i could convert them to xbow bolts for my vortex. if they will work what size nock would i need. currently shooting the firebolt and lumenarrow, and we have a lot of hogs on my lease and everytime i shoot one it breaks my carbon bolt.....kinda expensive. have about 80 of these aluminum ones just lying around and wondered about using them.

Re: aluminum bolts
It's my understanding you need 22/64 dia. [.344 ] 2314's are 23/64 dia. .359 they might sit up too much in your rail and your string my not be on center with the end of your arrow. Try one , if it works great . I don't think it will hurt anything , maybe bad flight. A 2314 insert will work for a nock. But if it flies funny or sounds different stop shooting them .Good luck.
