I drove to Mississauga approx 4 years ago to meet with Wylie H. and Bobby S. > checking out their website ... http://www.acadventures.ca/ . They wanted to know if I was interested in posting my outdoor pic's for others to enjoy at that website ?
I was humbled ! .... Meeting Wylie H. was inspirational to say the least ! ... here is a guy that at age 28 , survived a devastating auto accident that left him wheelchair bound for life …then chose to carry on sports fishing and hunting ... despite the obvious challenges his disability has brought on ! ( “ There but for the grace of God go I “ )
Man … every time I get up early , prep / load / slug gear for a hunt I think of how much more of a challenge it must be for Wylie ?
( Although you will never hear him complain !)
When we moved to the farm in the fall of 2008 , I noticed that the ridge line tree layout suited a ramp stand perfectly .. providing access for wheelchair hunter that would put him 20 yards above the deer trail below and give him the same elevated tree stand hunt sensation we experience with our climbers and misc stand set ups .
Ran it by the group , and before you know it , have a whole crew of guys offering time and materials to make it happen …
( I’m the one that feels humbled and blessed to have such friends . )
Now it sounds easy … just roll out on the stand and take a deer !
But consider the fact that we don’t have a huge deer population , and that bottom trail is only occasionally frequented by whitetails ( although , the smaller critters always provide entertainment ! )
Wylie , stuck it out … put his time in over the last few years , in all kinds of weather and finally connected on Tuesday !
Again … Just want to thank all that helped out, and all that sent Congrat’s at the outcome of this very memorable hunt !

Thats a great hunt wylie! The boys have done a great job with the ramp to help keep you in the game. Great effort by all of you.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS. Nice shot placement. You guys are making me itch to get out in the woods.
