Game Cam Pics to share

Post by Dash »

I was out bush with blackjack the other day. We just arrived at the game cam to check it out, when this Goanna (Monitor Lizard) appeared below it.
As we arrived, he'd just bitten the other smaller Goanna and then proceeded to eat him right in front of us. It took about 3 minutes for him to swallow it.
Good to have these fellas around. They keep the snakes away.
He had a beautiful skin.

My wife hates snakes and I think she would have one heck of a time running that thing thru the lawnmower

  . I would rather have my Equinox than a lawn mower, I wouldn't want to get that close to it,  . What awesome pics. Awesome to be able to see different wildlife from somewhere else. How long was the loser compared to the winner? So what else was on the game camera? What kind of game camera are you mates using? Thanks Darren.

Although we were there to check the Bushnell Game cam, these pics were taken with a normal camera as he was sitting close below where the game cam was.
The big one was quite a bit bigger than the other one. He had a big burrow about 20 meters away that I tracked him to the day before. Although we were only 3 meters away he wasn't scared of us and waited until he finished eating before moving on. Im glad we caught him there and got some pics, as there were 26 shots fired but no game cam pics !
My partner removed the SD card from the game cam to see pictures just before went on our trip and forgot to put it back in......

What a shame that the card was not in. What a fight that was, I would have to say.
