I went with the Exomax (225 lb) because I only wanted to buy one crossbow and plan on hunting moose, deer and elk. With a cocking rope it isn't too bad to cock and I am not a big fellow (about 150 lb).

I'd second that. I've only shot 2 deer (out of 2 shots) with my Phoenix and both were "thru" shots. Last year I was just amazed that it went clean through. Last week I shot a deer and after getting out of my stand I immediately went over to look for my arrow. It was just assumed by me that it went through and would be in the ground. It was.
