once did a research online about how to calculate the weights or meat...carcass...field dressed and live. After finding several different solutions and formulas. This is what I have come up with. Firstly take the time of year. If you are figuring end of aug till the first week of oct use the following
Edible meat x 1.3375 = carcass weight
Carcass Weight x 1.31125 = field dress weight
Field Dressed Weight x 1.25 = Live weight
If you are calculating and animal that was shot mid oct
Edible meat x 1.34125 = carcass weight
Carcass weight x 1.33 = field dress weight
Field Dressed Weight x 1.26 = Live weight
