O/T - Happy Thanksgiving!

Post by Big58cal »

Ya'll have a good one! Don't eat too much and remember all of the good things that you've got to be thankful for. Image

For you folks 'up nort', here's how we celebrate Thanksgiving in the south.

Hey!
We've got a KFC here in town, my wife could have saved herself a lot of work if you'd posted the pic a few days earlier.

Any excuse to sit down to a meal with family and friends is always welcome.

Funny thing is, my wife and I are invited to an "American" friend's place tomorrow for Thanksgiving dinner. Can't wait for the parade and football!! Oh yeah, and turkey. Yum yum. I'd wear my pilgrim's hat if I had one.

Happy Thanksgiving to all south of the 49th.

Thankful Maple

Forgot to mention bugs...... We don't eat KFC at Christmas. It's 'possum. We celebrate the feast at Thanksgiving, but by the time Christmas rolls around, trapping season is open, and we's out of money because of the Christmas gifts, so we got to make due with what the Good Lord provides for us, which in most cases is 'possum.

And if you believe that, I've got some good ocean-front property to sell you in Arizona.

Actually, one of our CSR's (Customer Service Representatives) in North Carolina sent me that picture today. He and I go back and forth all the time about him being a hillbilly and me being a redneck............

In all seriousness, HAPPY THANKSGIVING ya'll!!!! Even though the US and our friends 'up nort' may celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday on different days, we are all thankful for something. :D Tomorrow, I'll be thankful for everything that the Good Lord has given me, from my wife, my boy, a roof over my head, my health, my friends, my dogs, the animals I harvest to feed us, and all of the other things that I take for granted every day. We're all thankful for quite a few things that we can't even remember and mention.

The main thing is that I'm thankful for being above ground for one more day and am able to spend it with the the people who love me and that I love. :D

Happy thanksgiving to all of our friends south of the 49th.. enjoy the turkey or what ever you are serving.

the best times are spent with friends and family. Each thanksgiving is important because we may not all be there next year. Enjoy :) :)
