New Excalibur Brother

Post by Tarheelvortex »

I have been visiting this forum for awhile and finally decided to join the brotherhood of Excalibur owners. I bought a Vortex from Dan and couldn't be happier with the choice. Everything you have heard about dealing with Dan is true. He took the time to answer my questions and never grew impatient with me. I received my bow and accessories three days after completing my order. I could not believe the improvement over my previous xbow. The quality and workmanship of the bow and the accessories was impressive. I am most impressed with the trigger which is one that I can actually squeeze instead of pulling. The laser III shafts and 125 gr. Slick Tricks fly like darts to the same point of impact as my field tips. The bow is half as loud as the compound type crossbows I have shot in the past. The cocker works like a dream and makes cocking the bow a pleasure. I am shooting better offhand than I could off the bench with my previous xbow. My only regret was that I did not make the transition sooner. I have owned four xbows before this one and continued with the same manufacturer even though the customer service and turnaround times were terrible. I am much more confident with this bow after shooting it just one day than I ever was before even after shooting the same bow for a couple of years. I hope to draw blood with it very soon so it will be broke in properly. I look forward to spreading the word about Excalibur in a state where crossbow hunting just became available to everyone last year. Merry Christmas to all. The Tarheel.

Congrats on the new crossbow & welcome to the Excalibur Family. You made a wise choice. I bought my 1st Excalibur crossbow this year & just shot my 1st deer with it yesterday. The only shot I had was a heart shot straight down. I didn't want to do it but I only had 48mins left to fill this tag before the end of the year because it would be my last chance to get out.I knew the Axiom could handle the shot wasn't sure if I could, but it worked out. Good Luck with your new toy.

Congrats on the new bow Tarheel, and welcome to the forum. :D You won't be disappointed in either the bow or this place.

I've read it on some other forums that Excalibur has a cult-like following. If that be the case, welcome to the cult! Now you can see why there is such a following and such loyal shooters.

I am new to how to post on forums so I am unsure how to link to specific comments. Someone asked where I was located in NC so I am posting that information. I am located in Leasburg which is in Caswell Co. in the north central part of the state 30 minutes north of Hillsborough NC and 30 minutes South of Danville VA. I hope to figure out how to add to my online profile so I can give a little more information about myself for those who are interested. I want to thank all of those who responded to my post for the kind words and the warm welcome. The Tarheel.

You may want to edit your post above and take out your email address and phone #'s. You never know who or what kind of anonymous scum bag is browsing the forum. You can give that info out on an "as-needed" basis to the members.

Just click "Edit" or "Modify" in your post, take out the info and then click Save.
