Good Day today

Post by mikdor »

Got this Doe this morning at 11:05.I had been at this spot for just over 1 hr. when all of a sudden there she was I never heard a thing as i was very windy. She was to my right and I was hoping she would take the runway in front of me and she tuned that way but was at least 10 yards past the runway so I put the 30 yd cross hair behind the shoulder and fired,She took off like there was nothing wrong and ran about 100ft and stopped.I got my binos out and she stood there for at least 5 mins. and then she started walking away very slowly with her tail down so I thought she was hit. I waited about 5 mins. and went to where I had shot at her and saw where it looked like she had stumbled.About 10 ft. away was 1/2 my bolt with lots of hair on it but there was only a couple of drops of blood till I got to where she was standing and there was a pool about 3" in dia. I took a few more steps and up she gets and runs around a point and heads up a ridge, and I think to myself you dummy you know better than to follow so soon. So I head out and find my son and we head back in 2hrs.after the shot and find her 50ft.from my last sighting.I was using
