arrow hold down spring ?????
Can anyone tell me how much pressure should the spring put on the arrow # etc.
Re: arrow hold down spring ?????
Call Dan Miller if you are in the USA. The spring on my Equinox was to high and the string was going under the arrow. The problem has been resolved.

Re: arrow hold down spring ?????
I have the wrong screws for my scope rail so my spring is loose. I fix it by wedging a tiny twig in there when I hunt. This, after my arrow fell out when I was getting ready for a shot at a buck. Amazing what you can do when you have to. It works. Someday I will get the right size screws.

Re: arrow hold down spring ?????
Mine holds my arrow tight. I have held mine loaded with the safety on and pointed it down to the ground and shook it and my arrows stays intack.

Ischa, take the screws out and shorten them with a file or i have two from an Ibex your welcome to them if you wish.
Re: arrow hold down spring ?????
Tight enough that you can point the bow almost straight down without the arrow falling out. To bend it down tighter you have to take it off first.Rufus wrote:Can anyone tell me how much pressure should the spring put on the arrow # etc.
If its too tight you will hear a twang of it hitting the rail when you fire one off. But thats an easier fix bending it upwards. Just do it "little by little, otherwise you'll have to remove it again if you overbend it.
Re: arrow hold down spring ?????
As far as a number goes no idea, but I like to have it so I just have to lift it a bit to slide the arrow under it.
