CX Crossbolts

Post by Hester0305 »

I was finally able to shoot my new CX Crossbolts today at 30 yards from the bench. My Gold Tip Laser II's weigh 407 with a 100gr. pt. and the CX Crossbolts weigh 425 gr with a 100 gr. pt. I was quite suprised to see at 30 yards they both shot the same POI. I'm sure if I would have went back and shot at 40 and 50 yds I would have started seeing a small change in POI with the heavier CX Crossbolts. I am going to fletch 6 of the CX's today with 2 inch Blazer's and see how they fly when I get another chance to shoot.

God bless and have a great day!

Thanks, I tried to fletch the arrows today with Blazers while it was raining and for some reason the glue wasn't setting up. I just bought some new Gorilla super glue that I used last year and it worked great last year with all my arrows it normally would set up in about 45 seconds. I sanded my arrows with sandpaper and wiped them down with alcohol and the vanes also with alcohol just like I always do and they just wouldn't hold. I may have to buy the shrink wraps with vanes and try that and see if that holds.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I have always had a hard time getting blazers to stay on arrows. If you use a wrap it will fix the problem
