The spring located inside the grip is made to keep things stored in there form moving around. Most people will store extra batteries, tools...whatever. The threads are just to hold the bottom cap on.

Hello Peter,
I haven't seen the new Tac Pac as of yet. So am I correct in assuming from what I just read, that it is possible to screw some sort of shooting stick in the bottom of the Tac Pac handle?
Thanks,
Raymond

This Tac Pac isn't for me as my real world situation doesn't really allow me to rest on a bench or something similiar in the field for hunting. However, with that being said, I usually don't say bad things about Excalibur because I love their Crossbow product, however the price point for this package is extremely high! I personally don't feel the price justifies this modification. I was able to pick up a bi-pod for far less then the cost of this mod for bench shooting if I wanted that capability. Just my $.02...

Peter, just curious, with the rail system that this uses, is it possible to attach a tactical light to your crossbow?

I watched the video from the ATA Show 2012 and Peter did make mention of attaching a light I believe. Check this out.

My apologies Peter on the comment I made earlier. Ray, thanks for the link! I wasn't aware this was a "grip" but rather thought it was more for a stability system for a bench or what not. The link you provided on the demo showed a little more flexibility in the product for it's uses. However, I will say that I still feel the price point for this is still a bit steep.

I don't think so, it all comes together in the kit I believe.
